1929 Federal Reserve Bank Notes - Brown Seals

Do not mistake 1929 Federal Reserve Bank Notes with 1929 National Bank Notes.  1929 Federal Reserve Bank Notes were issued by all 12 federal reserve banks.  Those are, in order from 1-12: Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Richmond, Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Dallas, and San Francisco.  Generally speaking, 1929 Federal Reserve Bank Notes are not especially rare.  However, values do differ based on which federal reserve bank issued the note.  Also, notes that are in excellent condition or have a star symbol in the serial number can be worth much more than prices quoted below.  1929 $5 notes from San Francisco and St. Louis will carry additional premiums above and beyond the prices shown below.  All the links will take you to pages on our sister site about old currency.
